Brother Forests in Gujo
This area used to be popular for its ski slopes. However, it had been neglected since the ski slopes were closed down.
Brother named a total area of 28 hectares, including the former ski slopes, “the Brother Forests in Gujo,” and started tree planting in an eight-hectare portion thereof together with the city and prefectural officials in 2008. Local people, Brother employees, and their family members have worked together to plant and grow seedlings since then.
Brother also launched a joint research project with Nagoya University to incorporate more advanced knowledge from academia.
Here is a documentary movie which introduces our environmental conservation activities conducted in the Brother Forests in Gujo.
