Efforts to combat desertification

BROTHER (CHINA) LTD. works together with OISCA, a public interest incorporated foundation, on the project to combat desertification in Inner Mongolia. Besides efforts to green the desert area, the partners work to help improve the living conditions of the local people who make their livelihood by growing herbaceous species (plants that do not become trees), which are the raw materials of herbal medicine, as well as raising emus. The long-term aim of this project is to achieve a sustainable society in Inner Mongolia.
